According to Network News-”This incident happened at Muttukandaikkal, payangadi,kannur-On saturday 16-01-2010, morning Kandal pokkudan & his son Sreejith took the stones from the walls of Padamadakki Thamburati Temple and was blocking the public way.This dalit women raised voiced against this. For this reason Kandal Pokkudan & his son Sreejith has beaten this women so badly. Later this women was admitted to the Hospital with huge injuries.Police case was charged aganist kandal Pokkudan and his son sreejitih.This is a real shame. This is a cruel behavior from the man who himself calls as the Kandal(Mangrove) Pokkudan.”
